southern charm

Have any of you guys seen that new show on Bravo, Southern Charm?  I caught it one night earlier this week while nursing Baby Girl and it was like a train wreck – I couldn’t look away!  While unimpressed with the people on the show (some of their ancestors are founding fathers of this country and I’m willing to bet they’re rolling over in their graves!), I was completely enamored with the shots of Charleston (one of my favorite cities EVER!) as well as some of the homes they live in.  One in particular lives in South of Broad neighborhood, one of the wealthiest in the country, but I digress. Watching the show had me reminiscing on all the trips we’ve taken to Charleston and really wishing for Spring – all the meticulous landscapes, the overflowing window boxes, the stately homes, the gas lanterns, the cobblestone streets…I could go on and on, but instead, I thought I’d do a post of all my favorite pictures from some of my visits to this charming city.  I know you’ve seen most of these in previous posts, but I’m sure many of you can use a Spring-inspired pick-me-up just as much as I can! (And, perhaps, get a little inspiration for Spring gardening???)

Gorgeous! I love Charleston too. I was thisclose to going to College of Charleston (mailed in fees and everything) before I got into UGA and changed my mind. Sometimes I wish I had gone! We're planning our summer vacation now, and I'm lobbying for Charleston. My husband lived there for a few years as a child so it doesn't seem to hold the same magic for him. Anyway! Loved these pictures, thanks for sharing 🙂

Kate – I say go to Charleston this summer! It's such a different city to explore as adults and is so romantic!
