MY FAVORITE TIRAMISU RECIPE

Tiramisu is my hubby’s all-time favorite dessert and since this is really the only sweet treat he will eat, I’ve been trying to find the perfect recipe for the past few years and I’ve finally landed it! I’ve been making this for special occasions, deployment homecomings and just because, for a few years now and it seems to get better each time I make it!

I’m the farthest thing from a food blogger, but I’ve been wanting to start sharing some favorite recipes here on the blog and this one is just too good to pass up (so please excuse my sad attempts at food styling, lol!) We had this for Easter (for the adults) so I snapped a few pictures before we dug in. The recipe is from Recipe Tin Eats and is so easy, it’s practically foolproof; here is the direct link to the recipe in full.

If I’m making this, I try to put it together the day before serving, as it just gets better the longer it sits (and it’s always, ALWAYS better the second day!) The layers are so light and decadent and it’s the perfect way to end a meal with guests if you’re really wanting to leave a lasting impression on the evening.

The only thing I tweak from the recipe is that I like to add the Kahlua with a heavy hand; I mix a 1/4 cup with the hot coffee to quickly dunk the lady fingers, instead of the 2 teaspoons it calls for. If you love tiramisu or are looking for a dessert to wow your guests with at your next get together, I can’t recommend this one enough!
