I don’t think I’ve ever been more excited about a design book landing on my doorstep as I have for Gil Schafer’s latest, Home at Last, but it’s finally here and I can honestly say that the anticipation was WELL worth it, as this is one of the most beautiful design books I’ve ever laid eyes on. Schafer is an expert at designing new homes to look as though they’ve been around forever, while still having all of the modern amenities to meet the realistic needs of today’s families and all of the homes featured in this book are such beautiful examples. Despite the size of these homes, they all feel so warm and welcoming and cozy, which is really not easy to accomplish. I can’t recommend this book enough; here are a few snaps of some of my favorites:
