wednesday wish list: all about texture

Happy Hump Day!  I can’t believe it’s Wednesday already; this week is flying by!  My wish list this week is chock full of beautiful elements with lots of texture to warm up these cold winter days- the perfect wicker dining chair, a whitewashed, burlap covered, scalloped console table I’m SWOONING over, copper and gold accents and petrified wood bookends, to name a few.  If you’ve been reading my blog for a while now, you know I’m big on adding texture – and lots of it – to a space not only for warmth, but for depth and interest, too! Jute rugs, seagrass baskets and faux coral are some more of my favorite ways to incorporate texture to any space!  Here is what I’m loving this week (and always, really!):

A set of gold candlesticks are a striking focal point on a dining or console table!

I love a round, brass mirror; the studded detailing and lacquer finish on this one is divine.

These hammered copper bowls are great catchalls or makeshift candy dishes.

I’m obsessed with these petrified wood bookends; they’d look just as beautiful on their own as with a stack of your favorite books.

Faux clam shells are a staple in my decorating arsenal – display them on their own or on a coffee table, book case or stack of books for drama and interest!

Sheepskin rugs and throws are another favorite for winter; this one looks so plush and the price isn’t bad at all!

I am OBSESSED with this Norris console table from Mecox!  Whitewashed burlap covered in a gesso finish and scalloped detailing is both unexpected and elegant and it would look just amazing in an entryway with a beautiful mirror and pair of lamps!

Seagrass baskets are another staple that are as pretty as they are functional!  This one is from Wisteria, but I find similar ones in all sizes at HomeGoods and TJMaxx all the time!

Love this wicker dining chair for both indoors and out!  How beautiful would it look with a weathered, gray oak table??

What are some of your favorite ways to add texture to your decor?
