towd point cottage
We just reserved a little cottage at the beach for a last-minute, much-needed getaway for a whole week later on this month and I cannot tell you how excited I am for some down time by the sea! Having lived five minutes from the beach for seven years made it so difficult to move two and a half hours inland, but one day, when the hubby retires from the military, it’s back to the sea for us….preferably into a little cottage like this one by Norwegian interior design duo Bill Cummings and Bernt Heiberg. Whitewashed, planked walls and floors, nubby linen slipcovered furniture, warm wood antique pieces, vintage nautical lantern lighting, a creamy color palette and to-die-for water views are so laid-back and charming…kinda reminds me of what an old Sea Captain’s cottage would look like, and that is RIGHT up my alley!
I love the merman standing guard above the entry!
So light, bright and beautiful…perfect mix of white and warm wood furniture:
Planks as far as the eye can see!
I’d do away with the black track lighting and put some galvanized metal pendant lights over the island, but you can’t beat the view from the kitchen or all that natural light:
Cozy sleeping nook:
LOVE the vintage set of lockers in place of more traditional furniture for storage:
Does it get any better than this?

Happy Monday!

Charming! We have a little barn in the back yard that I am DYING to do something like this to! One of theses days! Enjoy your get-a-way!
Thanks, Linda! Please post pics when you re-do your barn – if it's anything like your home, it will be phenomenal!!
Nope…that place is all that!
