I don’t know how people in the Pacific Northwest do it, never seeing the sun; we are heading into week four of constant rain and thunderstorms and while my yard has never been so green and my plants look like they’re on steroids, it’s killing my summer fun! Tomorrow is July 4th and I’m hoping Mother Nature comes to her senses before then so we can hang by the pool and grill out. For me, there is nothing better than eating outdoors during the summer – string some lights, light some candles, bring chairs and tables outside and open a bottle of wine! These outdoor dining spaces are absolutely stunning in their simplicity and have me yearning for some dry weather to enjoy a meal outside!

I found these great bamboo director’s chairs for a steal – paired with a teak table, a striped umbrella, comfy pillows, a garden stool, some no-fuss greenery and some fabulous string lights, and you have a beautiful, casual setting for an outdoor meal:
