spring has (finally) sprung at my house!

As usual in the South, it feels like we’ve skipped over spring and jumped right into summer!  It’s hot and humid and pollen is covering EVERYTHING, but I’m not complaining!  It’s been a crazy day of tweaking a nursery I recently finished to get it ready for professional photos tomorrow (can’t wait to show you the final result!), so I thought I’d share a few shots of spring around my house lately!

Pink tulips and an antique silver bowl of seashells brightens up a corner of my living room:

I finally bit the bullet and ordered this amazing Robert Allen fabric for new pillows for my couch and I absolutely love how they turned out!  The scale of the pattern is so much bigger than I anticipated and the embroidery is so beautiful!  In order to save a little $$, I only bought enough fabric to cover the front of the pillows and had them backed with leftover linen fabric from this project:

Here’s a closer peek at the embroidered detail:

A few handfuls of azalea branches from a friend look so pretty in an old mason jar on my built-ins:

The watercolor we found in the U.K. a few years back-it’s one of my favorites.  I recently had it framed and matted at Hobby Lobby – my new favorite place for super affordable custom framing:

Another handful on the other side of my built-ins:

I found this blue and white pot a few weeks ago at Ross, of all places, and it’s the perfect fit for my peace lily, which is in bloom next to my new lamp (another Hobby Lobby find!):

Lovely!! I've loved that Robert Allen fabric ever since it exploded on Pinterest – I love it even more seeing it on a pillow. Love the large scale – looks great in your house! I've used love in every sentence. Must feel strongly about it, haha 🙂

I need to get more flowers and plants in my house – may copy you and go cut some azalea branches!

Thanks, Kate! I was surprised at how large the print was when I got the swatch, but I loved it even more!
