robert stilin: classic hamptons style

I have been a fan of Hamptons-based interior designer Robert Stilin ever since he transformed the incredible East Hampton barn of my favorite foodie, Ina Garten, and his design portfolio is even more amazing!  There is so much to love in each and every one of the spaces he creates and it’s thanks to the same formula he uses over and over – textured linens, natural woods and a monochromatic color palette, accented by large-scale art, subtle nautical accessories, fabulous millwork and rustic, industrial details.  Each space feels clean, comfortable, elegant and functional…but with a modern twist.  To me, that is the epitome of classic Hamptons design.  Here are a few of my favorites from his portfolio:
