navy blue & brown

When it comes to colors that are both classic and versatile, for me, it doesn’t get much better than navy blue.  Deep, inky blues are not only great neutral backdrops, they add a touch of glamour and elegance to any space.  I am obsessed with this color, finding every opportunity to infuse a little inky blue in my rooms for a crisp, modern feel.  (I’ve even managed to accumulate quite a bit of this color in my closet, as well!)  Navy blue is timeless and I can’t think of a better color companion than tans and browns.  Here are some beautiful examples of the two:

Get the look by painting your walls a deep, moody blue and pair it with warm, natural textures and soft fabrics.  Here are my picks:

Woven Roman blinds

Knobby loop rug

Mariner knit throw

Ming China bud vases

Scramble fabric in chocolate

Ticking stripe in navy blue

Than you so much for featuring this dining room on your website. I love theother options you show for deep colors working well! I am on a mission to debunk the myth that dark colors make rooms look small.
