my master bath plan

Last year, when we built our new home, I knew exactly what I wanted in every part of the house.  I like to think that working with me was a builder’s dream, because, even before ground was broken, I had already picked paint colors, tile, hardwoods, cabinet style, granite, even which way to run all the bead board (horizontally), and the type of glass I wanted in my kitchen cabinets.  When I can manage to squeeze some time in between client jobs, I’m slowly, but surely, putting the finishing touches on every room. In the meantime, I thought posting idea boards for each room would get my bum into gear faster, so here is my style plan for my master bathroom:

All the white-beadboard, subway and hexagonal tiles, cabinetry-is broken up by Brazilian Black slate floors, Cashmere white granite countertops, soft gray wall paint and natural textures like the bamboo blinds and rattan accessories help to warm up the space. The vintage surf poster was a gift from the fabulous Alexis at Fern and Feather.  I still have to find an oversize mirror to lean against the wall-I’d love this one, but I will more than likely get a wooden one at Home Goods and give it a zinc finish.  Also on the to-do list is hanging curtains and art, but I’m almost there!  Stay tuned for some finished pictures soon and Happy Hump Day!
