black botanicals
One of my favorite (and least expensive) ways to showcase art in your home is to frame pages from a book-it’s a great way to highlight beautiful paintings or photos without breaking the bank. I framed a series of conchology photos in my entry and love the impact it makes right when you walk in the door. Right now, I’m in love with botanical prints on a black background. I’ve always favored masculine design style, and the black makes these vintage botanicals and educational charts a little more edgy. Here’s a great example by Celerie Kembel:
The vintage black botanicals look amazing with the grasscloth wallpaper, warm wood furniture and worn leather chair.

I love this idea. Most of my engravings I bought individually from antique books…but this is a less expensive alternative and love the book you highlighted. Great choice.
What size would you say the pages are?
Hi Mary Ann! I saw this at the bookstore, but ended up ordering it from Amazon. It's a large book…didn't fit on the shelf with the rest of the books. If I had to venture a guess, I'd say 11×14…
