GET THE LOOK: BLUE AND WHITE PERFECTION ON LONG ISLAND

It’s been a while since I’ve shared a home tour, but once I saw this Long Island beauty by designer Sarah Bartholomew, decorated from top to bottom in blue and white, it was too beautiful not to share! I don’t think there’s another color combination that I love more than blue and white; it’s crisp, classic and a beautiful jumping off point for mixing textures, patterns and finishes. I’ve been a fan of Bartholomew’s classic, all-American style, not to mention her love of blue and white and how she effortlessly mixes traditional and antique pieces with more modern art and accessories for a timeless, elegant but cozy and welcoming feel. In this cedar shake beauty, shades of blue, lots of texture, a healthy dose of stripes and pattern, warm finishes, modern artwork and beautiful architectural details are such a striking compliment to an all-white background. Be sure to check out my picks at the end for getting a similar look:

Here are a few picks for creating a similar feel:

Pillow / Mirror / Double Happiness Pot / Rattan lamp / Topiary / Blue and white bowl / White vase /

Blue and white books / Beachcomber basket / Turned leg side table
