EXPLORING A SECRET, ENGLISH-INSPIRED GARDEN WITH THE LITTLES

A few weeks before school started back up again, the littles and I swapped our swimsuits for sneakers and headed over to a local horticultural garden for the afternoon.  Down here in the south, August is the hottest and most humid month, but the garden has lots of shade and is completely in bloom, and it ended up being a beautiful change of scenery.  My favorite part was at the very end, with a brick-walled garden, surrounded by white flowering crepe myrtles, boxwoods, ivy, different varieties of elephant ears and lots of beautiful annuals.  I brought along my Nikon to capture the English-inspired garden in all its summer glory before the heat completely scorched everything and they were too pretty not to post! Taking a breather from design and decor for today to share a little bit of our adventure:

Hope you’re all off to a great start this week!
