another sag harbor stunner

If any of you have been around here for the last few years you know I have quite the affinity for sea captain’s cottages. Even though I’m just now getting back on the blogging band wagon, some things never change; this gorgeous Sag Harbor stunner stopped me in my scrolling tracks the other day on Instagram I had to know more about it.

Known as the Lanford Wilson House, the 1840’s Egyptian revival is located right in the center of Sag Harbor Village and, according to the listing, is considered one of the most luxurious houses in the Hamptons.  One look at the interiors (and the exterior, even!) and it’s not hard to see why.  Restored 19th century wide plank flooring, original moldings, handblown double glazed windows, Dutch doors and a grey and white color palette effortlessly combine old and new for a modern take on a centuries-old sea captain’s cottage.

I especially love the painted trim throughout, and if there ever were a case for a non-white kitchen, this is it!  The floor-to-ceiling subway tiles, slate flooring, iron windows  and open shelving in the eating area off the kichen are to die for!  The backyard is an absolute dream; a gunnite pool and plenty of spaces for lounging and entertaining are about as perfect as it gets.  For a cool $9 million, it could be yours…but for those of us with smaller piggy banks, here is a look at this stunning property; click here to read more.  Happy Thursday, everyone!
