Scrolling through my newsfeed on Facebook last week, this adorable watercolor of my friend Melanie’s eleven year old golden retriever, Riley, immediately caught my eye. How sweet is she? The painting is by Melanie’s mom, who owns a studio in Little Washington, NC, and who posts her work on her facebook page, Watercolours by Carol Mann. I was so drawn to her pet portraits and how well she captures each animal’s spirit (especially the labs!). One of these paintings would make an incredible gift for the pet lover in your life!
