ticking stripe obsession
I’m reupholstering a bench for a client in a vintage gray and white ticking stripe fabric and the more I work on it, the more I want to keep it for myself! Ticking may just be the perfect fabric…it can be paired with everything, works in modern, traditional and beachy interiors and is generally inexpensive. I love furniture upholstered in ticking most of all. Here are some beautiful examples of how ticking can take a piece of furniture from drab to fab:
This is where it all began for me: the living room of menswear designer Michael Bastian in Domino and those gorgeous chairs:

Kelly, I have been seriously thinking about doing black and white ticking for new slipcovers on my den furniture. I have white for the summer….but I am tired of washing them 🙂
Sherry, you can't go wrong with black and white ticking – it's one of my favorites and it would look beautiful in your living room!
