shopping small: three favorite online home boutiques
I love shopping small any chance I can get; sure, there are times when Amazon just can’t be beat but nine times out of ten, I would much rather buy from a local or small business. If you’ve been following along here for a while, you know I definitely have my favorite online home boutiques, as I tend to include items from the same shops over and over in design boards, gift guides and even sourcing for clients (because you can never have too much of a good thing). Here are three of my favorite online home boutiques that I turn to time and time again for gifts, home accessories and entertaining; with Valentine’s Day right around the corner, you’d be hard pressed NOT to find something amazing for your bestie, your momma or even yourself!
HIGH STREET MARKET
Whenever I’m in need for a gift for a friend or client this is usually the first place I stop. The Philadelphia-based shop is chock full of beautiful vases, woven trays, serving pieces, barware, candles and small decorative accessories with a vintage, nautical feel. I never stop by their site without buying something. My favorite place for small but thoughtful, one-of-a-kind gift ideas at amazing price points. Here are a few of my favorites:
Bamboo vase / Round woven serving trays / Leopard lumbar pillow / Fish bottle opener /
Framed racing boat / Iron anchor paperweight / Blue and white ginger jar / Brass fox door knocker
Marble and brass serving tray / Brass turtle shell dish / Volcano candle / Silver mint julep cup
WAITING ON MARTHA
There is so much to love here that I had a hard time limiting it to one design board! From bamboo picture frames, gold dipped serveware, copper measuring cups and gorgeous, vintage-inspired tortoise covered books to chalkboard nesting ramekins and petite personalized trinket dishes, I always end up finding something lovely, unique and interesting! Here are some of my favorites:
Bamboo picture frames / Maritime soap dish / Framed sea fan / Gold pitcher / Copper measuring cups /
Gold ring dish / Designer vintage book set / Chalkboard nesting ramekins / Gold dipped spoons
Squeeze juicer / Tortoise shell bound books / Personlized petite plates
FURBISH
I read owner Jaime Meares’ blog long before she ever opened her flagship boutique in Raleigh and I’ve loved the eclectic roundup of goodies she’s offered ever since she opened up shop! Blue and white and tortoise shell reign supreme for me (the ice bucket is one of my favorite entertaining pieces I own!) and are at the top of my list of goodies she offers. Here are a few of my favorites:
Antigua lumbar pillow / Tortoise shell ice bucket / Blue swirl taper vases / Tortoise tray table /
Double happiness ginger jar / Mini Cabinet of Natural Curiosities / Raja blue tablecloth
Teil Duncan art / Greek key trim pillow / Blue and white bud vases
