scalloped

After eyeballing this black scalloped number for a while, I started to realize how drawn I am to all the subtle scalloped detailing in interiors, as well.  Scalloped edging on skirts, shorts, dresses, even swimwear is a fun, whimsical way to add a feminine touch to your wardrobe, but the same subtle detail on curtains, valances, bedding, mirrors and trim, just to name a few, add a tailored, elegant feel to any space.  I especially love it on awnings, canopies and umbrellas for a chic, Palm Beach resort vibe outdoors.  Here are a few spaces that live even larger, thanks to this simple, yet beautiful detail:
