SARAH SOULE WEBB + A GIVEAWAY!
Anyone who knows me knows of my love for oversize paintings of the sea so it comes as no surprise that I would instantly fall in love with the incredible, “photo-surrealistic” paintings of Birmingham-based artist Sarah Soule Webb! I’m always drawn to pieces that evoke an emotional response and each one of Sarah’s pieces creates an ethereal, dreamlike experience. I’m thrilled to be sharing her work with you today!
Sarah’s inspiration comes from the water on which grew up in Florida and her love for it is evident through her large-scale pieces; she brilliantly captures light dancing on top of the water and reflecting on the ocean floor and all of her pieces have such beautiful contrast and vibrant colors. As Sarah says, she tries to remind us of our connection to nature through her work, and I couldn’t agree more. Her paintings are not only breathtaking, but they really do pull you in with incredible detail and color. I can only imagine the dramatic impact one of her pieces would have in a room on such an oversize scale!
I was instantly drawn to her Under Water series of children swimming, most specifically “Daughter in the Water” because it reminds me so much of Lydia and how she has been a water baby since leaving the womb! When I asked Sarah if I could feature her here on the blog, she was kind enough to let me choose a print from her collection and this is the one I chose! It’s even more incredible in person!
I have been so excited to share Sarah’s work with you all because I know it would resonate as much with you as it does with me, not only because of a shared love of the water and a coastal lifestyle, but also for her beautiful pieces with children. I couldn’t think of a better way to kick off the start of summer (or to preserve the memory of our littles in their happy place!)
Sarah has graciously offered up one of her 20×20 signed prints of your choice to one lucky reader today! The giveaway is exclusive to Instagram, so be sure to head over to enter because this is definitely one you don’t want to miss!
In the meantime, you can read more about Sarah and see her original artwork and prints available here.
