PRETTIES FOR THE KITCHEN
One of the requests I’ve gotten a lot lately from e-clients is for help decorating a kitchen. I tend to gravitate toward the whole “less is more” approach when it comes to kitchens, in that I only display what I actually use on a daily basis – and then find the prettiest options there are for them! A footed marble bowl for fruit, wooden bread boards that can lean up against cabinets when not in use for serving, topiary for some greenery, beautiful wicker salt and pepper cellars, woven trays to corral oils and utensil crocks, a marble wine cooler that does double duty as a makeshift vase or a utensil holder…in place of decorative items that never get used and take up precious counter space. Neutral elements like wood, marble, rattan, silver and brass add a touch of elegance without being overbearing. Here is a roundup of a few of my favorites; click on the links below the pic!
Bread boards / Topiary (faux version here) / Wicker salt and pepper cellars / Marble and glass domed cheese board / Marble wine cooler / Water hyacinth tray / Marble footed bowl / Oil cruet / Brass pepper grinder / Oversize salad bowl / Bamboo cheese knives set / Silver knot tray / Set of two tea towels
How do you like to “decorate” your kitchen?
