INSPIRED: DEMIJOHN TABLE LAMPS

It’s no secret I’ve had a longstanding love affair with the work of interior designer Steven Gambrel.  I’ve flipped through his portfolio when looking for inspiration more times than I can count and I always find something new to fall in love with in his spaces.  One of my favorite accessories that he uses in quite a few of his projects is demijohn lamps; they add so much interest, especially because they’re usually oversize and make quite the dramatic impression.  If you guys follow me on Instagram, you know I’ve converted a few into lamps myself over the years, most recently an extra large mercury glass beauty that holds pride of place in my living room.  I’ll be sharing a tutorial on how I did it and where to find the demijohns, but for now, I thought I’d share a few snaps from Gambrel’s portfolio that inspired me in the first place:
