before + after: buffet-turned-changing table

I’m a huge fan of mis-matched furniture in any room, but I especially love incorporating non-traditional pieces in nurseries and children’s spaces for a fun, unexpected twist!  My client and good friend already had this buffet and wanted to use it as a changing table in her baby boy’s nursery – the size, lines and demilune shape were beautiful, but the finish was more yellow than “antique white”, like it looks like online, so it had to go. A good sanding and some gray/blue paint, rubbed back to reveal a newly-painted creamy white beneath gives this piece new life, while jute monkey’s fist pulls add texture and a touch of whimsy – perfect for a little one’s room!

Here is what we started with:

And here is what it looks like now:

The monkey’s fists are my favorite part:

A little distressing for contrast around the edges:

This is gorgeous!! The nursery I'm designing for my little boy is painted Revere Pewter as well and I was wondering if you could tell me the paint color you used for this gorgeous buffet/changing table? It would be the perfect color for a piece of furniture I'm refinishing for his room!

Thank you, Taylor! I used Benjamin Moore Petwer. Good luck!
