home tour: lauren weisbarth

When I first saw the pictures of Lauren Weisbarth’s Los Angeles home tour on One King’s Lane blog, I nearly fell off my chair!  Lauren is the little sis of Alison Pincus, co-founder of One King’s Lane, who, along with designer Hillary Thomas, helped transform Lauren’s house into a light, bright haven with crisp color, fun fabric and wallpaper, lots of texture and framed photos everywhere.  The result is chic yet casual and comfortable – you can totally tell a young family lives there, which was Lauren’s goal when decorating!

I LOVE the lacquered gray ceiling and turqoise beaded chandelier in the entryway:

Nothing is more personal than framed photos of family and friends, especially on an entry table like this one – it gives you an introduction to the family inside:

The family room is my favorite space in the whole house – those Chiang Mai Dragon curtain panels in crisp blue and white create a beachy vibe and look amazing paired with bamboo Roman blinds.  An oversize tufted ottoman is elegant, yet perfect for small children:

A deep cerulean blue island and bamboo Roman blinds add color and texture to a gorgeous, all-white kitchen:

Daughter Marli is rockin’ it with her own little marble-topped tulip table and blue ghost chairs in a corner of the kitchen:

Green and blue are so fresh in the dining room – I can’t tell what I love more…that fabulous trellis wallpaper, the powder blue curtain panels or the lantern hanging over the table:
