HALLOWEEN, BUT MAKE IT CUTE

Happy October, a few days late! Decorating for Halloween is right up there for my kiddos with decorating for Christmas, so I was so excited to get started while they were at school yesterday! I’ve been hanging these bats in our living room, which wrap all the way around to the kitchen, for the last eight years and their reactions when they walk in the house and see them is priceless. This is my favorite way to add some drama for spooky season and it really couldn’t be easier; I printed out a template online, cut them out of black cardstock and hung them with blue painter’s tape! It’s been years since I made these, but I found some great templates here. If DIY isn’t your thing, THESE are a great option, too!

The littles love to help with decorating, so we are still in the process of hanging oversize spiders, witches hats and pumpkins outside. In the meantime, I thought I’d share some cute decorations that have caught my eye:

Oversize spiders – we’re all about drama outside and inside, so we have these crawling around windows and our porch lights, but they work inside on bookshelves, cabinets and fireplaces, too!
