GET THE LOOK: COZY ON THE CAPE

As much as I love visiting New England in the summer, cozying up in a little cottage in the fall to watch the foliage change and enjoy the crisp, cooler temps, wrapped up in a cable knit blanket with a big, old design book on my lap, sounds divine this time of year. This 1825 Greek Revival beauty in Truro, Massachusetts, featured in the last issue of Frederic Magazine, is pretty close to my dream cottage. Beadboard ceilings, built-in captain’s beds and original wide-plank floors, along with antique quilts, painted wicker furniture, charming small scale wall coverings and a blue and white checkerboard floor add to the historic charm of the house and allow the original craftsmanship to really shine. It’s been such a long time since I’ve done a “Get the Look” post, but if you scroll to the bottom, I’ve shared a few pieces I think would help to capture some of the charm of this beautiful cottage!
