GARDEN GOODIES

With all the gorgeous weather we’ve been having lately, we’ve been busy getting our yard and gardens ready for the season and with all this time outside, it’s given me the chance to plan some tweaks I’d like to make with accessories, plants and flowers. My first purchase every year around this time is a pair of Kimberly Queen ferns for the oversize planters on the porch. I think a large planter makes such a statement, especially when planted with some trailing vines and flowers for a dramatic showpiece and Kimberly Queens get huge! Here are a few other pretties I’m loving lately for the garden:

Cedar planter / Watering can / Silver mint julep cup / Wooden obelisk / Out East book / Bistro set / Topiary

CEDAR PLANTER– I love the oversize Versailles planters my hubby made for our front porch years ago; this is a beautiful version and such a great price for the size!

WATERING CAN Simple, but beautiful enough to leave out amongst pots while not in use.

SILVER MINT JULEP CUP I love to stick clippings of herbs and flowers in these and put them all over the house during spring and summer!

WOODEN GARDEN OBELISKa statement piece for the garden!

OUT EAST BOOKendless garden inspiration on every single page! One of my all-time favorite coffee table books.

BISTRO SET I love a smaller set like this one to set among the garden; such an easy way to add a little charm!

TOPIARYA beautiful, sculptural plant that thrives in heat and humidity! Read more about how to care for them here.
