This has been an exhausting week, both mentally and emotionally, so to say that I’m ready for some down time with my little miss and to celebrate Halloween is the understatement of the year.  This will be my little lady’s first time trick or treating and I can’t wait to see how it plays out.  I’m making her costume…..just wait until you see!  Here are a few snippets from this week; I hope you all have a wonderful weekend and a safe and exciting Halloween!

The extent of my fall decor this year includes rearranging some wicker demijohns, coral and blue and white ginger jars in my entry….

…and purchasing half a dozen mums and few heirloom pumpkins for the front porch:

I’m murdering houseplants lately like it’s my J.O.B.  This $5 peace lily has been a welcome pop of green during a gray, rainy week:

Sunflowers are still on heavy rotation in my kitchen; there’s just something so happy about a pop of yellow in a black and white kitchen, don’t you think? I caught an episode of Barefoot Contessa in Napa Valley and the kitchen in which she was cooking sported cabinets with 5-inch door handles.  I’m currently trying to decide whether or not something similar would look amazing on mine or not…..

Bare Minerals Concealer and IT Cosmetics Hello Lashes are my two latest obsessions.  My Greek/Italian heritage blessed me with darker under eye circles and despite having spent a small fortune trying to hide them, this one makes me look like I’ve gotten twelve hours sleep. I’m a total convert for the mascara, too; this is the first one I’ve ever tried that doesn’t clump and the length you get is bananas!  I love the ball on the end for separating individual lashes:
