FAUX GARLANDS (STILL IN STOCK!)
I posted a video on Insta last week of my newly painted hutch in my eating area, which happened to be draped by a faux white pine garland and I got so many questions about the greenery that I thought I’d share here, too! I’ve only ever had fresh garlands and evergreens in my house; nothing against the fake stuff, but I just never came across a faux version that was convincing enough to want to put in my home. Every year, though, I fork out a ton of money for the real stuff, only to have it dry out and become brittle and brown before I’ve even finished putting up the rest of my decorations. While I always use the real deal outside on my porch and front door, this year, I decided to try Afloral’s 15 foot Norwalk pine for my mantle (it sold out the first week of November, but here is another vendor who sells it!)
In short, I’m a faux convert. There’s still nothing like fresh greenery, but this one is surprisingly full, drapes beautifully and only took a little light fluffing to get it to where I wanted it. Full disclosure: I’ve had this garland on the mantle since the day after Halloween when it arrived on my doorstep and I absolutely love it!
Fast forward to about a week later when I was in a local florist’s shop and stumbled upon the most incredible white pine garland; it was so real, I thought they had mixed in the real stuff with the fake. A nine-footer was only $54, so I grabbed two to tie together for my hutch (and an extra one for the table in my entry). I’ve searched high and low to find the same one online, but the closest I could come to is this one and this one, both of which are still in stock!
A little closeup of the pine……
Hope you’re off to a great start this week and happy decking!
