I’ve always loved the idea of floor-to-ceiling bookshelves in a dining room-such a lovely way to add character AND storage! I firmly believe that a space isn’t quite finished unless it’s filled with things that hold the most meaning and it doesn’t get more personal than shelves filled to the brim with your favorite books. If your budget won’t allow for custom-built shelving, Ikea’s Expedit shelving series is a fabulous, inexpensive alternative! Secure them to the wall and add some chunky crown molding to the top for a custom look – it’s one of my favorite, low-cost options for shelving on a budget. (Not to mention, it makes quite a dramatic impression!) Here is some beautiful inspiration:
