connecticut stunner
Interior designer Victoria Hagan is a girl after my own heart. While I love to play with color and fun pattern, it’s serene color palettes, classic detailing, tons of texture and lots of white to which I always end up turning in the long run. Her renovated Georgian-style home in Southport Harbor, Connecticut, is a perfect example of how style and grace can go hand-in-hand with form and function. Every room is tailored and sophisticated, yet casual enough for a young family to kick their feet up and relax. I love it all!
That ivy-clad exterior…be still my heart!
I could get used to waking up to that view!
Emerald greenery and hedges are a lush backdrop for that jawdropping swimming pool:
The living room is my absolute favorite-two-toned linen curtain panels soften wall-to-wall windows (and gorgeous transoms!) and oversize, slipcovered furniture and an understated color palette are a casual offset to that gorgeous coffered ceiling:
Navy blue velvet chairs and an antique Swedish brass chandelier steal the show in the dining room:
Pops of navy blue are a fresh addition to the living room:
A damask-covered wing chair adds a dose of color and pattern to an otherwise neutral corner in the living room:
Just another reason I will never tire of all-white kitchens…those Urban Archaeology pendant lights provide some contrast to the light-filled spot. The farmhouse sink, glass-front cabinets and marble countertops are a breath of fresh air:
Antique botanical prints, planked walls and an old farmhouse table add character and interest to the all-white dining area:
I want to dive head-first onto that bed:
Gorgeous teal and cream Gracie wallpaper in the powder bath make me want to paper my whole house:
Blue silk curtain panels suspended from antique brass hardware and that wingback, decked out in nailhead trim are delicious:
