COLLECTING: VINTAGE WICKER DEMIJOHNS + WHERE I FIND THEM

One of my favorite things to collect are antique wicker demijohn bottles. They add so much texture and interest to mantles or bookshelves, make for a beautiful table centerpiece and are always great conversation starters whenever we have company over! I’ve been collecting them for the better part of a decade and I always get asked where I find them whenever I post a picture to Instagram, so I thought it would be fun to share a few tips on looking for your own and where I have gotten mine here on the blog, as well!

All of mine have come from antique and thrift stores; one time, I found a box of them in the back corner of a thrift shop, where the owner sold the entire lot (I think there were ten of them!) for $20! My aunt also brings me an armful whenever she visits from PA!

Etsy A great source for some beautiful vintage demijohn bottles for some great price points and lots of different sizes! I think this is my favorite spot online with the best prices. I’ve sourced many from here for clients who were looking for a few; if you can’t find any in antique shops, this is your best next bet! HERE is a list of a few that caught my eye!

eBAY Another great source for some pretty good vintage demijohn bottles. The only dowside is finding one you love and having to bid on it, instead of buying now, lol. HERE is a list of a few to get you started!
