coastal christmas

It’s officially the most wonderful time of the year and I am so excited to FINALLY be decking my halls!!! The older I get, the more I crave simplicity in all aspects of my life and while I love to go all out with my Christmas decor, I like to take a much more natural approach – fresh greenery, bowls of clementines, soft candlelight…all with a little coastal twist.  Having lived by the sea for so long when we were first married and, of course, being married to a Marine, it’s just in my nature to want to stick with subtle nautical details for the holidays since I already take the same approach with the inside of our home.  I’ve always been a huge believer that you should always decorate with things you love and that make you happy and that goes for Christmas decor, too.  Just because you don’t live near the water, doesn’t mean you can’t decorate your home for the holidays as if you did, so I rounded up a bunch of coastal-inspired holiday decor that I’m loving lately; almost every one is on major sale, too!

French grainsack Christmas tree skirt / Cable knit stocking / Beachcomber Christmas tree collar / Willa candlesticks / Wooden snow flake ornaments / Magnolia wreath / Capiz shell tree topper / Oyster shell ornaments / Beaded glass vases

How stunning is this French grain sack tree skirt?!

I love live magnolia wreaths and this one is on sale for a steal right now!

These beaded glass vases would look equally beautiful with fresh greenery or blooms as they would with candles and make for a great hostess gift!

My favorite oversize clam shell is perfect on its own or filled with clementines or Christmas ornaments.

A capiz shell star topper is the perfect (coastal) finishing touch for a tree!

This ridged vase is one of my favorites and would look amazing with fresh greens and a few sprigs of berry branches.

Cable knit stockings are the perfect nod to Northeastern nautical Christmases!

I’m OBSESSED with this basket weave tree collar!!!!  I ended up getting this one from Target and love it just as much (loved that it was also half the price, too!)

I love the modern lines of these simple brass candlesticks.

These gold rimmed oyster shell ornaments would look AMAZING on a tree and would also make a super sweet gift!

Happy Black Friday shopping, everyone!
