charlotte’s garden
Everything interior designer extraordinaire Charlotte Moss does is chic, elegant and downright amazing, including the magical gardens of her East Hampton hideaway, featured in this month’s issue of Veranda, which I have dog-earred and returned to more times than I can say! Hard to believe that when Moss bought the property 20-some years ago, it was just a spec home with no landscaping and a measley pool, but she was quick to divide the yard into a series of rooms and terraces, perfect for dining or curling up with a book. I love everything about her garden, but I have to say, the round “windows” sculpted into the hedges, the many varying shades of green throughout and the stone obelisks are my favorite. Very English and very sophisticated!
