Last summer, while waiting in a doctor’s office and flipping through an old issue of Vogue, I stumbled upon the French-inspired farmhouse of supermodel Carolyn Murphy and it completely stopped me in my tracks!  Farmhouse living has never looked as elegant, beautiful or cozy, thanks to an eclectic mix of antiques, art, beautiful pattern and fabrics…there’s even a chicken coop and lemon trees in the backyard!  Hard to believe this house is actually in Los Angeles and not the French countryside.  Interior designer Schuyler Samperton helped Murphy with the transformation and, I have to say, it’s stunning!

Love the bright kitchen, with that fabulous wraparound banquette, antique farmhouse table and all those pillows!

Is there anything more charming than a blue and white striped rug in a farmhouse kitchen?

Every nook and cranny of this house looks super cozy:

This master bathroom definitely had to be the selling point of the home – the slate floor, claw foot tub, French doors leading to a patio and THAT SINK!!!!

Hello, gorgeous:

Grey blue window panels are an elegant touch in the master bedroom:

Rustic accents, vintage tile and lots of greenery add to the French farmhouse feel:

Chesterfield sofa in the most beautiful slate blue/gray, be still my heart….

A little slice of heaven out back:
