all-white done right
If you’ve read this blog for any length of time, you know I love me an all-white kitchen and this beauty, designed by Katherine Hodge of Sage Design in Fairfield, Connecticut, is a fabulous example. A clean-lined design and contemporary details like globe pendant lights and a fabulous Saarinen dining table are beautiful complements to an open layout, floor-to-ceiling glassfront cabinetry with dark-painted backs, open stainless steel shelving, an expansive island and a butler’s pantry even the Barefoot Contessa would be envious of!
I love the large, open floor plan – so light, bright and airy:
Marble slab extends all the way to the ceiling and is capped off by molding – a fresh alternative to individual tiles:
LOVE the triple window above the sink, as well as the gorgeous floor-to-ceiling glassfront cabinets flanking it:
The deep blue painted backs of the glassfront cabinetry add a bit of color and really make dishware and serving pieces pop:
OBSESSED with this butler’s pantry – open shelving, beadboard walls and absolute black granite counterops…be still, my heart!
Here are my picks for creating a similar look in your kitchen:
fiddle leaf fig / seagrass basket / globe pendant light / wire baskets / striped rug / potted lavender

Really, really lovely. Out of context, all of the kitchen cabinetry would look like beautiful pieces of furniture.
THAT is truly beautiful!!
Beautifully done! I love that white kitchen!
