For me, a trip to Charleston would not be complete without stopping into South of Market on King Street, home to some of the most beautiful European antiques, industrial lighting and accessories, furnishings and some of the most amazing, enexpected pieces of art! I’ve posted about this little gem before (here and here), but I can’t help but post a few of their latest goods for summer. I about died when I walked in and saw this five foot tall driftwood mirror-talk about a statement piece! How amazing would it look in entryway or above a fireplace?
Love these willow basket pendant lights – owner and interior designer Douglass has used them in all-white kitchens for a fabulous pop of warmth and texture:
My obsession with rope-wrapped chandeliers runs deep – this jute chandelier is a nautical compliment to cobalt blue wingbacks and striped pillows:
LOVE these vintage metal lockers and oversize industrial pendant light:
The bold black botanical charts looked fabulous in see-through frames, and I can’t tell which I like more – the square burlap pendant lights or the mounted vintage boat oars – both great ideas for unique art (and great use of wall space!):
Vintage lantern lighting is everywhere in the shop…is your mouth watering yet?
Just like her shop, Douglass’ penchant for adding bold pops of color and rustic accents to her clean, sophisticated spaces create such a refreshing, casual and classic feel. Here are a few of my favorites spaces as published in Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles:
