it isn’t easy being green…
…but it sure is gorgeous! Color is always the one thing (most of) my clients are most scared of, but pops of green are one of the surefire ways I can usually get them to step outside of their comfort zone. A bowl of Granny Smith apples, a houseplant, throw pillows or some fresh greenery from your yard help bring life to neutral spaces without being too overwhelming. For those more daring, hang curtains, paint your floors or the inside of cabinets and built-ins. You can’t ever go wrong with green-from celery, mint and olive all the way to rich emerald-it goes with everything (I personally love Kelly green and navy blue, but I’m sure you already guessed that!). Here are some beautiful spaces that shine, but don’t overwhelm, with pops of this gorgeous hue:

I have been so into green lately too! The pic of the kitchen with the green floors has always been a favorite! Great post!

Thanks, Melissa! I'm usually all about blue, but green is looking so fresh to me lately. That pic of the green floors is one of my favorites, too!
I love green in decorating. We have a lot of green in our house — green sofa, original 1920s green tile around the fireplace, green pottery, etc. And the outside of our house is painted sage green! I also like having plants in the house which adds even more green. In the photos you've posted, I really like the green in that sofa (fourth photo) which has a lot of yellow in it.
Claudia, that couch is one of my favorites. I still have that issue of Domino in which it was originally featured! Can't wait to check out your blog and see pictures of your home-it sounds lovely!
