serene retreat

A while back, I posted this idea board for a master bathroom in a new construction home I was working on.  The home was finally completed and the homeowners were able to move in a few weeks ago, so now it’s time for the real fun to begin-decorating and bringing in all those little details that will complete the entire house!  We’re starting in the master bedroom and want to create the same calm, relaxing vibe that flows through the rest of the house.  Katie Lee’s guest bedroom, designed by the fabulous Nate Berkus, was the inspiration for the space…flowing white curtains, soothing gray walls and lots of subtle pattern and texture.  Here is what I’ve come up with:

Mirrored nightstands, similar to this one from Pier 1, will flank the homeowner’s bed, which will be dressed in gray baroque and monogrammed embroidered linens.  Bamboo Roman blinds and gauzy white curtains will soften an entire wall of windows and French doors, while block crystal lamps and Ballard’s Bellesol mirror will add a touch of elegance and help create the perfect compliment to the ah-mazing master bathroom.

Stay tuned for pictures of the completed space and if you’re interested in a design board for your own home, please email me at kstivers@Hotmail.com.  Happy Monday!
