fab find friday: wicker stools

A while back, I posted about these , Overstock’s version of the Tolix stool, and how I lamented over them, eventually buying them for my kitchen.  They really were a great deal, but unfortunately, I thought they made my kitchen feel a little, well…cold.  I’ve always been a fan of these wicker ones from Pottery Barn:

…but I didn’t want to spend $130 a pop (I needed 3).  So, imagine my surprise when I walked into Carolina Pottery last week, a warehouse-sized outlet for outdoor furniture, and found these beauties for $20 a piece!

They are super sturdy and bring warmth to my kitchen.  I’m going to change the color of the wood (it looks red, compared to my floors), but I haven’t decided what I’m going to paint them, yet. If you don’t live near a Carolina Pottery-there’s one in Cary and Smithfield, NC; Knoxville, TN and Columbia, SC, you can check out World Market (that’s what was on the box these guys came in).  Have a great weekend!
