EVERYTHING YOU NEED FOR YOUR NEXT COCKTAIL HOUR CHARCUTERIE BOARD
Putting together a beautiful charcuterie board is one of my favorite passions as of late. For someone who notices and appreciates the aesthetic details in everything, it’s so satisfying to create an edible masterpiece that’s as visually appealing as it is tasty! “Friday Charcuterie” has become a new part of our end-of-the week celebration – such a great way to welcome the start of the weekend over some yummy treats!
I try to keep it as simple as possible with my boards; they can quickly get quite elaborate (and expensive!), so I do my best to use what I have on hand – fresh fruit and veggies, cheese, nuts and salami are staples in our fridge and pantry – and then focus on my favorite part – the arranging!
I’ve poured over hundreds of photos of charcuterie boards on Pinterest, and while I love the crazy elaborate boards that look like they could feed fifty people, I like to do a mix of entertaining pieces and smaller bites. I always start with one of my vintage bread boards as a base and then layer a marble or slate cheese board on top, my favorite French wine glasses, silver salt and pepper shakers and a little greenery for aesthetic purposes, lol!
Below is a roundup of some of my favorite pieces to set up a charcuterie board; the best part is that most of these pieces are as pretty and versatile as they are functional! On a side note, Crate and Barrel has been killing it lately in the entertaining department! I love their black marble cheese board (pictured above) as much as the Carrera marble rectangle and their slate cheese board comes in three different sizes and is so budget-friendly!

Happy weekend!
