designer love: ashley whittaker design
I can’t think of a better way to kick off this morning than to post some fabulous eye candy! I may be a little late to jump on her bandwagon, but NYC-based interior designer Ashley Whittaker is all over my radar lately! A self-described neo-traditionalist, Whittaker is a genius at combining subtle, serene color palettes with fun, bold fabrics and accessories to create a look that is at once fresh, chic, and effortlessly timeless. And the girl can style an outdoor space like nobody’s business, too!
While I tend to lean toward more masculine spaces, this living room has been on my inspiration board for months….the tufted sofa, periwinkle window panels and blue and white ginger jar lamps are soft and sophisticated:
Shingles, teak chaise lounges and potted hydrangeas? Be still my heart!
Celadon bamboo wall covering adds an unexpected, modern twist to this breakfast area:
Striped wallpaper, brass light fixtures and that amazing mirror (hello, gorgeous!) make one hell of a first impression in this entryway:
You can never go wrong with a gallery wall…never:
Navy blue and hydrangeas…preppy sophistication:
With fabulous emerald wallpaper-lined backs of this built-in bar, every hour is happy hour!
Love the built-in shelving in this elegant, all-white bath:
