blogger christmas home tour: most lovely things
I’m so excited to share the home of my dear friend, Annie, from the blog Most Lovely Things today! Annie’s blog was one of the very first I started reading more than a decade ago and I actually got to meet her last year when we stopped into the Serena and Lily in Westport, Connecticut, on our way to Brimfield! Annie was kind enough to drive over to meet and not only is she as lovely in person as she always is on social media, but her coastal Connecticut beach house is swoon worthy, too! I shared her Christmas home tour a few years ago and this year she surprised everyone by doing an exterior tour; let me tell you, I’ve been dreaming of it since she posted, it’s so good!
I love the fact that she chose to share her front porch and patio; rarely do we see many of these spaces during the winter because they’re so hard to make them look good but Annie totally nailed it!! Those beautiful cedar shakes are a lovely backdrop to fresh evergreens, galvanized planters and twinkle lights – so simple, but so, SO stunning!
It couldn’t have been more perfect that it snowed the day she took photos; as soon as this image passed through my feed on Instagram, it stopped me in my tracks. The sheepskins, the fresh evergreens in black window boxes, the throw blankets hanging on the shakes, the firepit, the potted Christmas tree…it doesn’t get much more perfect than this:
Even her side entryway is decked out with a little holiday cheer; I love the wicker basket hung on the door and more greenery in a galvanized pot. Again, so simple but what a beautiful impact:
Here are a few picks to get a similar look:
Sconce / String Lights / Set of four chairs / Doorbell / Glass jar / Wreath / Mailbox / Galvanized planters / Door mat / Wicker door basket
Be sure to head over to Annie’s page for more sources!
