baby boy
This weekend I co-hosted a baby shower for my good friend, who just found out her first baby is going to be a boy! I am working on a sea turtle nursery, where the colors will be a soft sea-foam green, with light blue and navy blue accents, so we decided to use the same colors for the invitation and decorations at the shower.
I’m a huge fan of monograms, and since the other hostess and I were working on a budget, I decided to get crafty. I bought a 2 1/2 inch hole punch from Michael’s, some textured cardstock and got to work. The hubby even helped, creating a circle template in powerpoint with the baby’s monogram and the expected date of his arrival. Once they were cut out, I punched holes in some and tied ribbon around gift bags of Hershey’s kisses:
I taped the rest to some toothpicks and stuck them in the cupcakes. They look like they’re about to go marching:
We added baby pictures of the mommy and daddy-to-be…
And here we are with the radiant baby mama. (I feel like the jolly green giant). We had gorgeous weather and a fabulous turnout-I can’t think of a better way to celebrate the arrival of a new baby!
