another great book for framing

If you have read this blog for a while, you know I love framing pages from books (see here, here and here) and now I’ve got another one for you!  Last year, during a trip to the United Kingdom, I took a day trip down to Hay on Wye, a charming little town on the border of Wales and England, which also happens to be the secondhand bookstore capital of the world!  I was in absolute book heaven-there are hundreds of bookstores, each brimming with thousands and thousands of amazing finds. 

I stumbled onto the botanical section of a teeny tiny bookstore with ceilings barely high enough to stand up straight in when I found The Orchid Paintings of Franz Bauer and immediately fell in love:

Each painting is so elegant and I love the neutral color palette.  They would look amazing alone or in a grid pattern.  Here are a few of my favorites:
