isle of hope cottage

Since moving to North Carolina nine years ago, I’ve become totally enamored with all things Southern – the food, the people and especially the architecture and interior decor.  This guest cottage on the Isle of Hope, right outside of Savannah, Georgia, designed by Number Four Eleven, is a beautiful example of lowcountry luxe.  The cottage is tiny, but lives much larger, thanks to space-saving built-in and  a great mix of antique pieces.  Layering rugs and antiques add warmth, texture and so much charm, I just want to move right in!

The living room is my favorite space in the house.  An amazing cofferred ceiling, built-in bookcases and blue curtain panels are so cozy:

Another shot of that fabulous ceiling in a sitting area.  How fabulous are those antique corner pieces?  The oversize hanging lantern further emphasizes the lowcountry feel:

Cobalt and chartreuse reign supreme in a guest bedroom:

Planked walls and ceiling and a fabulous distressed vanity in a guest bath:

An eating area right of the kitchen – love the planked walls, bell jar lantern and that fabulous antique table!

The cozy dining room boasts a mix of antique pieces:

A beautifully styled vignette:

Love, love, LOVE this master bedroom!  The custom headboard, sconces, lantern and soothing color palette are so cozy and soft, I’d never want to get out of bed!
