tyler florence kitchen of the year

The latest issue of House Beautiful found its way to my mailbox this weekend and my jaw dropped the second I saw Tyler Florence’s kitchen of the year feature!  Charcoal cabinets, white subway tile, chrome lighting, four-inch thick countertops, black farmhouse sink, a gleaming pot rack above a 17-foot island….just another gorgeous example of an amazing black and white kitchen

Tyler’s own kitchen was featured a few months back, as well:

Love those black subway tiles:

After some sleuthing, I found some shots of his Mill Valley, California, kitchen shop here.  LOVE!  So clean, crisp, light and bright!

His kitchen shop is amazing! I think that pot rack is the one I have been in love with for years from urban archeology — but it costs as much as a small car!

You're right!! Most things in that kitchen probably cost the same as a small car, haha!
