that’s a wrap!

I had high hopes yesterday and today of posting some pics of my nursery progress as well as some simple Christmas decor around the house, but the weather has been so gray and rainy, making it impossible to get any pictures, so I thought I’d post some awesome gift wrap ideas for the holidays, instead! Here are a few of my favorites lately:

I’m loving old black and white photos cut to shape with a decorative hole punch and a sprig of fresh greenery tied with baker’s twine for a personal touch! Via

Mini wreaths woven in red and white baker’s twine is simple and so festive!

Love this paint splattered kraft paper and monogrammed gift tag from Go Forth Creative – such an easy and inexpensive idea!

I love these mini wreath gift tags made from fresh greens and herbs – so simple and elegant:

Newspaper, baker’s twine and bold red glitter letters – love:

Simple white boxes or gift wrap and bold red grosgrain ribbon make such a festive statement under a Christmas tree:

Add a little bit of the midas touch with gold paper and non-traditional Christmas colored ribbon from Oh So Beautiful Paper (you can also glam up some kraft paper with gold glitter acrylic paint from the craft store!):

These gold paper feathers add an elegant touch to any gift – check out how to make them here:

No time for crafting?  These wooden and letterpress gift tags from Anthropologie are the perfect finishing touch to any gift:

Black and white stripes, fresh green ribbon and gold gift tags = sheer perfection:

Black kraft paper, white sharpies and a little artistic capabilities make for beautiful “chalkboard” gift wrap!

I am absolutely head over heels for these papercut and calligraphy tags held together by a clothespin! Make them a little more Christmas-y with gold cut outs:

Matte black paper, fresh holly and tags cut from pages of an old book is so elegant:

What are some of your favorite ways to wrap for the holidays?

Those are all so beautiful! I always WANT to do something lovely and creative….but usually end up with last years paper and a stick on bow. sigh.

Me, too, Linda!! Every year I have these grand aspirations, but I usually end up going with last year's leftover wrap at the last minute!
