stacked for fall

I haven’t been one to decorate for Fall in the past, so this year I thought I’d try to find something unique to put a twist on the typical autumn decor.  Inspiration can come in the most unlikely place, so when I saw a pile of wood for sale on the side of the road this weekend, I thought it’d be the perfect touch.  Only problem is that we have a propane fireplace, which we use a lot in the winter-a fact I overlooked (or ignored!).  Maybe it’ll come in handy if we ever put a firepit in our backyard, instead!  I don’t know if I’d stack a pile inside my house, but these images below are very pursuading:

The only thing that scares me about having that wood in the house is spiders!!! It would have to be washed and cleaned up pretty good 🙂 I agree…it looks cool though!
