soft + feminine house tour

I try not to post things that have already made their way around blogland, but this gem of a house tour has been a favorite of mine lately and it’s just too good, I couldn’t resist!  Designed by Irene Lovett of designstiles, an LA-based interior design firm that actually specializes in nurseries and kid’s spaces (and when you see the little girl’s room here, you’ll know why!), it is the perfect mix of traditional and modern with vintage touches and a lived-in, layered feel.  I’m not usually drawn to soft, feminine spaces, but this entire house is so dreamy, there isn’t one thing I would change!  Just a little eye candy to end the week and have you dreaming of curling up with a cup of tea in that fabulous living room!

Love the mix of colors and textiles in the living room.  So soft and cozy!

My grandparents had a dining table and set of chairs exactly like this.  I love how the older pieces look so fresh mixed in with more modern sconces, a lantern light and a bamboo mirror:

White cabinetry, Hicks pendants and wood bistro chairs in the kitchen are timeless:

Is this not the most perfect little girl’s room you ever did see?  Robin’s egg blue grass cloth, a Jenny Lind bed, vintage lighting and settee, a kilim and bookshelves backed with the sweetest hummingbird wallpaper…this is the stuff little girl’s (and big girl’s like me!) dreams are made of:

Seriously DYING over that paper!

Greige and blue in the master is so serene.  LOVE the blue curtain panels, too:

More whimsical paper in the girls’ bath. Perfection:

Modern meets vintage in the nursery to stunning effect:

To see more of this house, head over to Style Me Pretty Living.  Have a wonderful weekend!

Hopefully, I’ll have the entry done over the next day or so and can share it next week!
