j.k. place capri
I need a vacation bad-somewhere far, far away that will soothe the mind, body and the soul. Since that’s not going to happen anytime in the next month or so, I’m left pouring over pictures of the haute hotel J.K. Place in Capri, Italy. One night’s stay in this place would easily cost me a month’s mortgage payment, but I would totally stalk the place like I was a guest, snapping pictures until someone caught me!
Designed by architect Michele Bonan, the J.K. Place Capri has provided design inspiration to many in the blog world and it’s not hard to see why…I was smitten the minute I first saw the rich navy blue walls of the “living room”:
Casual elegance has never looked so effortless…the white sofas and black lacquered furniture are perfectly paired with the striped rug. Subtle nautical accents like the porthole mirrors and deep blue wall color are a nod to the sea right outside the window.
Soft gray walls in the dining room are so soothing:
The foyer’s Asian-inspired staircase gives a sneak peak of the perfection inside. Bonan was genius by incorporating modern touches to an otherwise traditional space:
What I wouldn’t give to spend just one night in this penthouse suite:
Marble mosaic tiles surround the entire bathroom…imagine taking a bath with this view of the Gulf of Naples staring back at you:
I love the soft blue and coral color combination in this suite:
…as well as the pale lavender in this one:
Outdoor spaces are just as fabulous as those indoors, with views of the ocean as far as the eye can see:
